Who We Help: Schools

by admin

The Pinoy Relief team have been on the grounds in heavily affected areas where Typhoon Haiyan hit. They have chosen to focus their work in the municipality of Guiuan, where Typhoon Haiyan made its first landfall. The aftermath is devastating and this particular area is receiving little aid.
In Guiuan, all the schools were damaged causing classes to resume two months after Typhoon Haiyan struck. Children were learning in poor conditions: overcrowded tents or in classrooms with no roofs. If it rained, students had to find ways to avoid the rain as well as flooding. See how Pinoy Relief, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, came together to build larger, sturdier classrooms for students as their schools were being rebuilt.
More classrooms are still needed. Join us in support of rebuilding temporary classrooms by donating today.
